The FlorAfrica association, led in conjunction with the Art & Culture Foundation, has developed the "3D'EFICIÊNCIA"  project, the aim of which is to use collected plastic waste to make artificial limbs and orthopedic supports using additive manufacturing.

During the Action! Mission organized with the association, the 40 affiliate employees helped young people from the Ilha community in Luanda to:

  • understand the importance of collecting and potentially reusing plastic waste;
  • look at physical disabilities from a different perspective.

More generally, this kind of initiative is a springboard for the association to promote beach-cleaning and waste collection campaigns among disadvantaged populations and, in doing so, they help the physical rehabilitation center in Luanda to produce artificial limbs.
