Young People are Claiming Their Space

On February 19 & 20, delegations from around the world will gather in Stockholm for the 3rd Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety where they will take stock of the measures put in place over the past decade and set new targets for 2030. Recognized for its expertise as a major mobility player and for its commitment to road safety, TotalEnergies has been invited to take part in this summit as a representative of the private sector.

In the wake of this event, more than 200 young people from 75 countries gathered at the 2nd World Youth Assembly for Road Safety to claim their space. Supported by TotalEnergies Foundation, this full day of programming gives 15-29 year-olds – the most affected by road accidents in the world – an opportunity to engage in workshops, conferences, artistic performances and draft an official declaration which will be communicated to the ministers present.

Since September, these young people have organized consultations in 55 countries to find innovative solutions specific to the challenges of their different regions and cities. Among them, young people from TotalEnergies who have made concrete proposals for safer mobility in Paris.
