TotalEnergies Corporate Foundation, major sponsor of the Institut du monde arabe and the “ARABOFUTURS” exhibition

For six months, the IMA will become a laboratory of possibilities, where contemporary young artists from the Arab world express their creativity through futuristic representations and narratives. The exhibition displays work by 17 artists, video artists, visual artists, painters, photographers, and performers who explore science-fiction and fantasy to question current society and imagine future worlds. The IMA opens its doors for the public to explore new works and creations by artists from the eastern and western Arab worlds, that offer new perspectives and interpretations of today’s and tomorrow’s worlds.

The Institut du monde arabe and TotalEnergies Corporate Foundation - a 20-year partnership 

TotalEnergies Corporate Foundation supports major exhibitions that promote cultural dialogue, encourage cultural exchange, and in which mediation actions and educational tools are designed and created with young people in mind.

As part of this exhibition, and thank to the support of TotalEnergies Corporate Foundation, several mediation systems and hands-on art workshops have been set up for young people who have very little access to culture due either to their social circumstances or geographical location. Culture helps broaden horizons, strengthens harmony in diversity and is a source of independence and fulfillment.

^* The “Parfums d’Orient” exhibition, which ran from September 26, 2023 to March 17, 2024 received over 150,000 visitors (half of which were aged 15-34). Thanks to the support from TotalEnergies Corporate Foundation, over 6,500 young people were able to explore the “Parfums d’Orient” exhibition, and participate in either a guided tour or a hands-on arts workshop in groups or with their families.
