Focus on New Partners in 2023 - Alongside the association IM’PACTES, TotalEnergies Corporate Foundation supports the education of young people in the care of the Child Welfare Service (ASE)
The aim of the IM’PACTES association is to guarantee better access to health, academic success and culture for young people in the care of the Child Welfare Service in the Île-de-France region. TotalEnergies Corporate Foundation has just signed a new agreement with this new partner, to support the AMBITION program developed by the association for 13-18 year-olds.
Through a kindly approach and personalized follow-up, the IM’PACTES association helps the most vulnerable young people rekindle their love for learning and repair their trust – in themselves, in others and in the future – to stack all the odds in their favor. In France, around 350,000 young people are in the care of the Child Welfare Service and two-thirds of them have fallen behind in their schooling when they reach middle school.
As part of the AMBITION program, the association welcomes 13-18 year-olds in “hives”, where inspirational student tutors take them under their wing. The latter help them in their schooling, lend an attentive ear, and open up perspectives for the future. In addition to these tutoring sessions, the young people take part in themed workshops and cultural outings. They also have access to a “library of emotions” and bibliotherapy sessions.
The aim is to prevent young people from dropping out of school and to help them successfully leave the Child Welfare Service and make free and informed choices as to their professional future. In backing this program, TotalEnergies Corporate Foundation will provide support to 500 teenagers for three years.
