Planète Énergies Bac Pro Contest: Two Teams Rewarded for Projects Supporting the Energy Transition
On June 5, six finalist teams selected from 17 candidates presented their ideas to the Planète Énergies Bac Pro contest panel. Lycée Clément Ader high school in Athis-Mons was singled out for a project on solar photovoltaic electricity generation, while Lycée Benjamin Franklin high school in La Rochette won second prize for an air-to-water heat pump project. The teams were awarded €12,000 and €10,000 respectively to develop their projects.
This first edition of the Bac Pro contest was organized by Planète Énergies’ educational platform, in partnership with Éditions Nathan publishing house. Each team, made up of six penultimate-year vocational high school students led by a teacher, was tasked with designing a project to renovate or improve housing, workshops or technical facilities using new energy systems while helping reduce energy consumption costs. Total Foundation supports this initiative, which enhances students’ future employability by encouraging them to go above and beyond, as well as increasing their awareness of alternative energies.
