We’re really keen for young people aged 15 - 30 to use all the tools we have here, at La Condition Publique, and build their own projects.
What’s your commitment to youth?
For La Condition Publique, commitment to youth is a must.
In the city of Roubaix, half the population is under 30 years old. Giving the means to a cultural public establishment in that context, to be a springboard for their personal development is what really drives us the most.
What’s your project with TotalEnergies Foundation?
We’re one of the most recent partners to be supported by TotalEnergies Foundation since this year, in particular for our creative incubator for youth.
La Condition Publique, is a cultural public establishment, located in the former warehouse for the textile industry in Roubaix. It is a place where you can go to watch a show, a concert or see an exhibition. It hosts all kinds of events, from electro nights to trade fairs, but the venue is also home to a creative work community, including independent artists, cultural associations, social associations in the inclusion sector, small businesses, etc. They can use the offices and facilities available, like the construction workshop, Fablab and the Medialab.
We’re really keen for young people aged 15 - 30 to use all the tools we have here, at La Condition Publique, and build their own projects, and also for them to contribute to the life and schedule of La Condition Publique.
Can you sum up “creating partnerships” in a few words?
The support from TotalEnergies Foundation is twofold.
There’s the funding of course, which is long-term support. And on the other hand it incorporates us into a network of players focused on youth challenges, whether they are ecological or cultural issues, or education and inclusion issues which are very important for us.
I’m eager to meet all the TotalEnergies Foundation partners so that we can exchange our know-how and experience and so that we can contribute to their projects too.
