General Delegate
Prévention Routière Association
What can you tell us about your association?
The Prévention Routière Association is an officially recognized non-profit organization.
It is 75 years old and, since the outset, its aim is to ensure that there are fewer and fewer road accidents and fewer and fewer victims, deaths and injuries, and that every year the number decreases.
What’s your commitment to youth?
The Prévention Routière Association has always been committed to youth. It plays a proactive role in road safety education.
That means going to meet young people in schools and raising awareness among 300,000 children every year to road safety education issues to change behaviors on the road.
It also means actions in middle- and high-schools and recently, the association has also been to universities with programs called ‘peer to peer’, where young people are made aware of road risks by their peers.
What’s your project with TotalEnergies Foundation?
The Prévention Routière Association is backed by TotalEnergies Foundation for all its road safety missions.
For example, over the last few years, we have been raising awareness among rugby fans. For the Rugby World Cup, we were present in the fan zones and spoke about drinking and driving.
Alongside that the Prévention Routière Association backed by TotalEnergies Foundation raises awareness among high-school students. This year, 4,000 high school students in 7 regions were made aware of the risks of drinking & driving for example or even on daily issues such as phoning while driving, drug use or electric scooters.
Can you sum up “Creating partnerships” in a few words?
Creating partnerships with TotalEnergies Foundation and working together are projects that enable us to take things further in terms of ideas, sharing, work, and also serving the mission of the association, i.e. saving lives on the road.
Moreover, it also means taking part in one of the most important projects for the association - participative prevention - and the fact that everyone can contribute: companies, sponsors, etc. and through behaviors or actions, we can move even further forward as regards sustainable behavioral changes.
