The partners of the TotalEnergies corporate Foundation share their experience: International Road Federation (IRF)
Susanna Zammataro - Director General, International Road Federation (IRF)
What can you tell us about your association?
The International Road Federation. It’s a membership-based federation. We welcome members from more than 130 countries around the world. We bring together the entire universal ecosystem around roads. The federation works with the members and partners to make sure that we deliver sustainable roads networks, but most of it, access to mobility for all everywhere in the world.
What’s your commitment to youth?
Delevering a sustainable mobility for all means delivering opportunities to everyone. And of course, the younger generation is at the core of our action. But I want to mention more specifically the engagement we have on road safety. Unfortunately, unsafe roads are the first cause of death for the young generation in between 5 and 29 years old. Many ways in which we work with the young generations. But road safety is definitely one of them.
What’s your project with TotalEnergies Corporate Foundation?
We work with TotalEnergies on three main initiatives. The first one is making road safety data available to everyone around the world. The second one is building the capacity of road safety auditors. And the third one is working with private sector companies to mobilize and engage them in road safety activities.
Can you sum up “Creating partnerships” in a few words?
Partnerships are fundamental to deliver impact and scale. We are extremely grateful to the TotalEnergies Foundation for bringing us together and providing us with the tools to be able to forge partnerships that will be allowing us to deliver impact and scale.
